Dana Point Rehab Campus Hosts Its First Weekend Retreat to Celebrate Recovery

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. - May 16, 2019 - (Newswire.com)

Dana Point Rehab Campus is inviting the public, clients and their loved ones to its first Re-Prize Retreat at the Ritz Carlton Resort, Laguna Niguel in Monarch Beach, California. The weekend retreat takes place May 31 to June 2, 2019, and is open to anyone who wants to strengthen their recovery from a substance use disorder.

In California, an estimated 2.1 million people suffer from alcohol dependence and addiction, but only 7.2 percent of these individuals receive the treatment they need at drug rehab centers. Heroin and opioid abuse are also problematic in the state, where nearly 2,200 people died from an opioid overdose in 2017. Dana Point Rehab Campus offers a range of evidence-based treatments to help these individuals achieve abstinence and learn the necessary skills to stay sober long term.

Dana Point’s Re-Prize Retreat is aimed at empowering individuals to reap the rewards of recovery and feel hopeful about living purposeful, productive lives. Families and loved ones of those suffering from addiction will have the opportunity to learn more about common causes and triggers of substance use disorders so they can support their loved ones throughout recovery and beyond. Evidence suggests that involving family in the addiction recovery process can improve treatment effectiveness and abstinence rates.

The Re-Prize Retreat will kick off the weekend’s events with a dinner reception, followed by an orientation. Guest speakers will include licensed clinical psychological Tami Tucker, Ph.D., Gayle Polsky, M.D., and Howard Goodman, MA, LMFT — author of “The Staying Sober Handbook.” Group discussions, yoga and meditation will take place Saturday and Sunday with scheduled mealtimes. Guests will have access to the resort’s sauna and steam rooms, beach recreation equipment, shuttle service to and from Salt Creek Beach, and high-speed Internet.

Guests and graduated clients who want to attend Dana Point’s Re-Prize Retreat must RSVP by email to saul@aleterrecovery.com or call 877-349-2391 for more info. The cost to attend the Re-Prize Retreat per party is $995 for first registration, $500 per second registration, and $250 per each additional registration. The Ritz Carlton is offering discounted room rates of $299 per night for this event, plus taxes and applicable fees.
