Effective immediately, Lyle P. Cunningham has been named Executive Vice President, Managing Director & Market President - NY Metro, Chicago & Washington, D.C. & Specialty Finance. He will also become a member of the bank's Office of the Chair. Cunningham most recently served as Managing Director of Specialty Lending, a role in which he will continue.
As a member of the Office of the Chair, Cunningham will work directly with Jay Sidhu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer; Richard Ehst, President and Chief Operating Officer; and other bank leaders to drive the planning and implementation of Customers Bank's long- and short-term strategies, while overseeing daily operations across the Bank's geographic footprint.
Eugene M. (''Gene'') Kennedy, III has been named NY Market Executive. He will oversee daily operations of the NY Metro banking groups and the Rye Brook branch. Kennedy will report to Cunningham.

He joined Customers Bank in March 2014 after spending more than five years as the Managing Director of the CMS Mezzanine Fund, providing mezzanine debt to finance private equity sponsored buyouts, non-sponsored buyouts, growth capital and acquisition financing. Cunningham worked previously in senior positions for National City Bank and CoreStates Bank (now Wells Fargo). Cunningham is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University.
