Liteye's Counter Drone Solutions are the Answer for US Airports

Liteye congratulates our UK partners on deploying AUDS, Anti-Unmanned Defense Systems to Gatwick Airport. Other Airports could utilize this technology to protect their locations.

CENTENNIAL, CO, January 17, 2019 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Liteye Systems, Inc., a US based company, is ready to help in the fight against Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) that threaten the safety of our Nation's airports. As recently seen at Gatwick and Heathrow Airports in London, drones can wreak havoc on the safety of flight operations at airports anywhere in the world. Airport shut-downs cause delay on the ground and the re-routing of aircraft in the sky bring travel to a standstill, not only for the airport where the incursion occurs, but for other nearby airports as well. This results in millions of dollars of direct loss to all involved. The good news is, there is a proven solution! The Anti Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle Defense System (AUDS) was recently employed at Gatwick within an hour of being contacted by authorities. Gatwick operations were quickly restored, and Gatwick has since purchased the AUDS for permanent use. Liteye congratulates the quick response of our UK partners, Enterprise Control Systems (ECS), Chess Dynamics, and Blighter Radar on the success of employing this critical system, a job well done!

In the United States, Liteye has created an approved US version of the Anti-UAV Defense systems (AUDS), adding US technology, designed to assist the efforts to detect, track, identify, disrupt and neutralize drones engaged in un-authorized and hostile airborne surveillance and potentially malicious activity. The US version of AUDS has been deployed with US DoD forces, is combat proven and has been instrumental in military operations since 2016. Liteye continues to evolve the system to meet US DOD urgent requirements, as well as responding to the needs of other US critical infrastructure organizations.

Liteye Systems CEO Kenneth Geyer says: "I'm happy to have an exclusive partnership and to have aligned Liteye Systems with ECS, Blighter Surveillance and Chess Dynamics. Together we are continuing the development of US based AUDS". He goes on to say "We have worked with these companies for years and have been able to incorporate new US technology into our AUDS systems making it a critical solution for not only our Military but also the US commercial sector like airports throughout the country. As the technology advances we have made our system different from the UK and specific to meet those US end-user requirements. Since 2016 Liteye's US version of AUDS has been protecting US lives and critical infrastructure 24/7, in some of the most dangerous locations. Our AUDS is proven in the field and well respected by our customers."
