Brisbane, Nov 11, 2018 (Issuewire.com) - As developer Karam Group prepares to break ground for the construction of Maasra Apartments in Coorparoo, the Group has announced the appointment of specialist development manager Grant Thurlow to oversee the $95 million development.
Mr Thurlow is responsible for taking the Maasra Apartments mixed-use development in Coorparoo from concept to project launch and will see it through construction to completion.
With more than three decades in property development, Mr Thurlows experience spans the whole process from site investigation and design, through to DA & BA processes, construction management and compliance.
His commitment to delivering large high-profile projects continues to change southeast Queenslands landscape.
Having worked for several major multi-national construction companies, including Glenzeil, Kyronn Projects, FKP Constructions, Tomkins Constructions and Baulderstone Hornibrook, Mr Thurlow has been at the forefront of delivering quality residential and commercial developments.
In his management role for various developers and construction companies, he has overseen a number of development projects from design phase to completion, including luxury residential towers Brighton Grand and contemporary residential building One33 in Southport, twin residential towers Inn on the Park at Toowong, as well as the mixed-use apartment building Axia Apartments in Coorparoo and the nearby 120-unit Langlands Close Apartments.
Mr Thurlow also delivered Gold Coasts premier commercial tower The Rocket and executive apartments Riverwalk at Robina, as well as 300-units across nine buildings at Griffith Universitys Gold Coast student campus and a five-level residential apartment building in Mackay among other major commercial projects.
Mr Thurlows early career in construction management kicked off as Site Manager for Westfield Design & Construction and spanned over a decade, during which time he completed five Queensland shopping centres, including Westfield Carindale and Garden City, as well as one in South Australia and another in the ACT.
By adapting to new technologies and market trends, Mr Thurlow has successfully spearheaded and managed large high-profile projects for over 30 years.
He believes the success of each development relies on four qualities: vision, design, determination and guts.
