The Recent US Bureau of Labor Statistics Report Puts the Storm on the Radar
LOS ANGELES & SINGAPORE - March 20, 2018 - PRLog -- There's a perfect storm looming on the horizon set to strike working men and women in their 50s and 60s; a warning coming from author Pamela Wigglesworth in the newly released book The 50-60 Something Start-up Entrepreneur, How to Quickly Start and Run a Successful Small Business.

Across the globe there is an increasing forced exodus of older employees happening within companies across multiple industries. The recent March 2018 report by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics revealed that the unemployment rate for people ages 55+ increased to 3.2 percent in February, up from 3.0 percent in January. The report breaks the 3.2 percent down to 688,000 men and 488,000 women over the age of 55 who were unemployed, effectively putting the storm on the radar.

This perfect storm is the coming-together of five unique circumstances that, independently, are benign in nature; collectively their convergence is guaranteed to create a dramatic shift in how this group of individuals will live over the next three to five decades of their lives.

This inevitable perfect storm will be dramatic and telling, with two unique outcomes in its aftermath. One group of individuals will barely survive in the new 50–60 Something Poverty Economy, while another will flourish and thrive as they drive the 50–60 Something Start-up Entrepreneur movement. https://youtu.be/hvqqMW12qts

In her new book, Wigglesworth offers a solution for 50-60 Something individuals who are unable to find work and at the same time, who are not financially able to retire just yet, by suggesting entrepreneurship is the answer to coming out whole in the aftermath of the storm.

"It's time the world wakes up to the strong possibility for a new poverty economy for people in their 50s, 60s and beyond," stated Ms. Pamela Wigglesworth when asked why she sees her book as a warning bell. "The perfect storm is coming. I want to do more than just sound the alarm. My goal is to provide a solution in the aftermath in the form of entrepreneurship education and training for this at-risk demographic," Ms Wigglesworth added.

The 50-60 Something Start-up Entrepreneur provides a step-by-step guide for starting and running a small business, getting senior entrepreneurs to embrace technology and marketing and how to overcome overwhelm as a new business owner.

The 50-60 Something Start-up Entrepreneur is published by Experiential Pte Ltd and is available in paperback and eBook on Amazon, Barnes & Nobles, iBooks, Kobo, Scribed and Google Play.
