Mixed close despite record sales

The markets closed mixed with the Dow rising 22 points to 23,580 while Nasdaq lost 10 points to 6,878 despite record Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.


On the upside


Record Black Friday retail sales and upbeat expectations for Cyber Monday lifted shares of Stitch Fix (Nasdaq: SFIX).


Needham & Co. lifted its price target on Roku (Nasdaq: ROKU) from $28 to $50.


Thoma Bravo will take Barracuda Networks (NYSE: CUDA) private in a deal valued at approximately $1.6 billion.

On the downside


Investors locked in profits on Xunlei (Nasdaq: XNET).


Profit taking weighed down shares of Amtech Systems (Nasdaq: ASYS).


A Seeking Alpha contributor expects Avid Technology (Nasdaq: AVID) stock to retreat.


In the broad market, declining issues outpaced advancers by a margin of more than 3 to 2 on the NYSE and by nearly 3 to 2 on Nasdaq. The broader S&P 500 eased a point to 2,601. Bitcoin leaped $397 to $9,637.
