The Auto Swings is a self-propelled, kinetic apparatus for children intended for use in a backyard or playground. They are constructed largely of recycled automotive parts consisting of a two-seat Speed Coaster that drives the canopied, four-seat swings. The Auto Swings benefits by the innovative use of salvaged automotive parts indicating how items can be recycled to make a creative product totally different from their original purpose. Two of the seats are made from metal electrical conduit and feature both grab-handles and foot-rests in an all-in-one-unit. Visually, Auto Swings resembles a canopy carousel and can seat as few as two or as many as six at a time. The four-seat Auto Swings feature two sling-style seats and two safety swing seats suspended from the tubular rim of the canopy frame by chains. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Auto Swings.
