The Compleat Apple iPhone & iPad Camera Guide Goes Beyond Selfies and Snapshots

By: PRLog
iPhones and iPads are among the world's most sophisticated cameras. But few owners take advantage of their capabilities because the Camera Chapter in the iPhone and iPad CD-ROM User Manuals is only 6 pages long.
PLAYA DEL REY, Calif. - Dec. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- In informal interviews conducted this fall, more than 90% of iPhone and iPad photo enthusiasts said they used their built-in cameras strictly for taking selfies and snapshots. Most have never even heard of – much less used – many of the iPhone and iPad advanced camera features.  These include touch-screen focusing and exposure setting, high dynamic range(HDR) photos, GPS location tagging, Wi-Fi uploading, panoramic photos, Retina Flash Live Photos, optical image stabilization (OIS), slow-motion videos and 4K Video.  Some of these features were added as early as 2013 to the iPhone 5S, and others were added in 2015 to the iPhone 6S or 6S Plus.  "As far as most owners are concerned," reports Steve Frankel, “they may as well be using inexpensive point-and-shoot cameras. They're not benefitting from most of the really neat features because they've never learned how to use them!”

Hopefully this situation is about to change. The Compleat Press has just released The Compleat Apple iPhone® & iPad® Camera Guide – Useful Tips That Aren’t In The Manuals, by Steve Frankel.  His easy-to-read 65-page book provides clear, simple directions that explain how to use each feature – usually in less than one page. He also has brief chapters on the strengths and limitiations of iPads vs. iPhones; shooting situations in which only “real cameras” should be used; and how to get assistance when problems occur. Frankel estimates that within 2-3 hours, most people will be comfortable using all of the of their iPhone’s and iPad’s features.

The Kindle and paperback versions of  The Compleat Apple iPhone® & iPad® Camera Guide – Useful Tips That Aren’t In The Manuals are available on the Amazon website for prices of $3.95 and $14.95 respectively.

In late January, The Compleat Apple iPhone® & iPad® Camera GuideThe Enhanced Edition, will be released. It will include an iPhone and iPad photo gallary; and brief chapters on Instagram photography, food photography, cruise photography and  street photography. The Enhaced Edition will  be sold in eBook format through the Apple iTunes bookstore; and in paperback format through traditional book stores and book departments.
