On August 17, 2004, Core Molding Technologies, Inc. announced that a
new labor agreement has been reached with Scioto Lodge No. 1471 of the
International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers ("IAM") at its
Columbus, Ohio manufacturing facility. A copy of the press release announcing
this event is included in this Form 8-K as exhibit 99(a).
