Item 5.02.  Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

(c)        On July 31, 2007, Orchids Paper Products Company (the “Company”) appointed Keith Schroeder, 51, the Company's Chief Financial Officer, to serve as its Interim President and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Schroeder succeeds Michael P. Sage, who has retired. He will serve as President and Chief Executive Officer while a committee of the board of directors searches for a permanent replacement. Mr. Schroeder will receive no additional compensation for performing his duties as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Schroeder has been the Company’s Chief Financial Officer since January 2002, and will continue in that role. He is a certified public accountant and holds a BS degree in Business Administration with an accounting major from the University of Evansville.
