PRESS RELEASE
At a Court Hearing this morning, the Court sanctioned the Scheme of Arrangement
under which WPP Group plc ("WPP") will acquire the entire issued share capital
of Cordiant Communications Group plc ("Cordiant"). Accordingly, the acquisition
of Cordiant by WPP is expected to complete tomorrow, Friday 1 August 2003.
