Future Business and Management Plans

As part of its overseas expansion strategy, Kookmin Bank (the “Bank”) is reviewing internally a possible entry into Central Asian markets (including Kazakhstan) and South East Asian markets through potential acquisitions, although details remain undecided as of the current date.

The above information was mentioned by the President & CEO of the Bank in an informal meeting with the press on November 6, 2007.

The aforementioned constitutes future plans and is subject to change.
