On January 24, 2009, Sterlite Industries (India) Limited (the “Company”) issued an earnings release announcing its unaudited consolidated financial results under Indian GAAP for the quarter and nine months ended December 31,2008 (the third quarter and first nine months, respectively, of its fiscal year ended March 31, 2009). A copy of the earnings release dated January 24, 2009 is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. A copy of the Company’s unaudited consolidated financial results under Indian GAAP for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2008 are attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2 and are incorporated herein by reference.
