Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

 

On November 4, 2014, Director Jim Voorhees provided notice to the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Cloud Peak Energy Inc. (“Cloud Peak Energy”) that he will resign from the Board effective on December 31, 2014.  Mr. Voorhees has served as a director of Cloud Peak Energy since March 2011, and is a member of the Compensation Committee, Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, and Health, Safety, Environment and Communities Committee of the Board.  Mr. Voorhees is resigning at year-end 2014 to spend additional time with his family and on other professional activities.
