Vectren
Corporation (the Company), an energy holding company, announced on Friday,
September 28, 2007, that its wholly owned subsidiary, Vectren Energy Delivery
of
Ohio, Inc., issued a pre-filing notice with the Public Utilities Commission
of
Ohio indicating it plans to request an increase in its base rate charges for
Vectren’s gas distribution business in its 17-county service area in west
central Ohio. A copy of the press release is furnished as exhibit
99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
In
connection with the "safe harbor" provisions of the Private Securities
Litigation Reform Act of 1995, the Company is hereby furnishing cautionary
