Item 2.02 – Results of Operations and Financial Condition
On August 9, 2007, NovaStar Financial Inc. announced financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2007. Second quarter net loss available to common shareholders was reported as $54.5 million or $5.84 per fully diluted common share, which reflects a one-for-four reverse stock split which occurred on July 27, 2007. The press release announcing the earnings for the second quarter ended June 30, 2007 is included as Exhibit 99 and is incorporated herein by reference.
